With so much going on with RZA's debut movie "The Man With The Iron Fist" which drops November 2nd, make sure to support The man, the talent, the movie, the movement.

For fun,  RZA's official band and Wu-Tang fam and live group; Stone Mecca have recorded an Iron Fist tribute song/instrumental which is not featured on the official soundtrack but are making it available to fans to download for free and enjoy. Stone Mecca has decided to take it a step further, and have invited fans to add vocals to the instrumental (rap, sing, or reggae chant to it) and send/post it on Wu-TangCorp forum or post it below on the comments section of this post on this blog. The songs will be forwarded to the band leader ; Tru James who will also be checking the forum links and decide the winner. For those who are not members of the forum, either join, or post it on the comments section of this post or send it here promo@wu-international.com.

 The site will give the winner two free CDs, Stone Mecca's album "First Contact" and the official soundtrack to "The Man With The Iron Fist "album by The RZA.  In addition to the CDS, the song will be featured as the song of the week on the Wu-International for at least 2-4 weeks.

Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block Reveal ‘Wu-Block’ Album Cover Art, Confirm Release Date

Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block have teamed up to reveal the official cover art and release date for their upcoming collaboration album dubbed ‘Wu-Block.’

It was announced earlier this year that Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block would be collaborating on a new project entitled ‘Wu-Block,‘ but details have remained rather sparse over the past few months.

Well today the two hip hop collectives have revealed the official cover art for the project, along with announcing an official November 13th release date according to HipHopDX.

Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah recently gave us a bit of insight on the project, and says “this what’s been missing.”

“It’s homemade, yo. It’s one of those albums where it’s like, ‘This what’s been missing,’” he said. “When we heard it for the first time all the way down, I was happy – and I don’t really get to say that too much about making projects and stuff like that, but I was really, really happy. There’s nothing out there that’s like it.”

Earlier this week, Ghostface Killa teamed up with Sheek Louch and Jadakiss for the latest single from the project called Stick Up Kids.

GZA talks college science lectures and a new album 'Dark Matter'

Later this week GZA is set to perform with Latin super band Grupo Fantasma at a headlining Babygrande Records SxSW showcase this Saturday March 17 at the Haven Club.

GZA's new album Dark Matter is set to drop later this year on Babygrande Records. It's inspired by his fascination with astronomy, quantum physics and science fiction-turned-reality. To quote:

"I've been interested in many branches of science for years. RZA and I constantly exchange books and ideas. I recently met with quantum physicists who deepened my interest in the cosmos and gave me further inspiration for this next album. I want to take my listeners on a journey through deep space and deconstruct the idea of science fiction. If you think about it, 'science fiction' is an oxymoron but it makes sense because a lot of what was once fiction is now science and a lot of science is fiction until proven beyond hypothesis. For instance, when I was a kid there was a book called "A Wrinkle In Time" and some physicists at Cornell, whom I'm going to meet when I lecture there in April, actually created a wrinkle in time. That's incredible."

Expect the Genius to return to MIT March 21 to lecture in part with the Civic Media Lab. GZA will also be hitting the college circuit and lecturing at NYU, USC and Cornell later this spring.
