Method Man Battles High Altitude During X-Games Performance

The legendary Wu-Tang rapper slash How High star has become one of hip-hop's most respected figures, continuously blessing the stage with lit live performances for years. On Saturday, Method Man found himself on some mountains in Aspen, Colorado, where he found himself engaged in a Revenant-esque battle with the elements. With altitudes of over 8,000 feet, Meth soon realized that the seemingly effortless task of breathing had become increasingly difficult. Luckily, Method Man's lungs have been training for decades.

Raekwon on the Snow Beach Re-Release: "They Shoulda Called Me, I Feel Insulted"

Raekwon is a style icon. Since he broke onto the hip-hop scene in the early '90s, New Yorkers and people around the globe have embraced and tried to copy his rugged style of dress that consisted of Polo Ralph Lauren, Timberland boots, and New Balance sneakers. And he’s still doing it to this day.

At a recent private New Balance event, Raekwon performed in the basement of a SoHo lounge to celebrate both the brand bringing back the 574 and his 48th birthday.

RZA's Allergies Force Him To Wear Malcolm X Style Glasses

(AllHipHop News) Wu-Tang Clan producer RZA wears glasses to protect his sensitive eyes.

The hip-hop legend prefers designer Tom Ford's frames when he's out and about, revealing he needs to shield himself from allergy-inducing debris in both indoor and outdoor settings.

"For some reason, I got the face shape that fits Tom Fords," he explained to New York Magazine. "You either catch me with the shades on or in 'the nerds' (regular eyeglasses). We call them the Malcolm X glasses in the hood. I actually have eyes that irritate easily, so I wear the glasses to keep stuff out of my eyes.

"If you see me in shades indoors, you might be like, 'RZA is wearing shades inside, what the hell is going on?' I’m protecting my eyes, and I’m looking cool. I have probably a dozen pairs."

Why GZA Is One Of The Greatest Of All Time

A Case for GZA as One of Hip-Hop's GOATs

In this series, we'll be making the case for specific rappers to be included in "greatest of all-time" discussions. The more obvious choices (such as André 3000, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Jay-Z, Nas, Biggie, 2Pac) will be ignored in favor of artists who tend to get overlooked these days, for one reason or another. Previously, our writers have made cases for Pusha T, Ice Cube, DJ Quik, Big Boi, DMX, Ghostface Killah, Scarface, Lloyd Banks, and Three 6 Mafia. Today, we're going to bat for GZA.

Method Man to Join Cast of Upcoming 'Shaft' Reboot

Method Man is gearing up for his next big movie role.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Wu-Tang Clan member will join the cast of New Line Cinema’s upcoming Shaft reboot, Son of Shaft. Method, who will reportedly play the titular character’s old friend, will star alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Jessie. T. Usher, Regina Hall, and Avan Jogia.

Son of Shaft is expected to follow the plot of the 2000 John Singleton-directed sequel starring Jackson. Deadline reports Usher (Survivor’s Remorse) will take on the role of Shaft’s son, who is described as “a young cyber expert FBI agent” who is forced to work with his estranged father on a new case. Richard Roundtree, the original 1971 Shaft, will also make an appearance.

Tim Story will direct the reboot based on a script by Alex Barnow and Black-ish creator Kenya Barris; the latter has signed on to produce the film along with John Davis.

Wu-Tang Clan Drop New Line Of Rolling Papers

Wu-Tang Clan want you to smoke in style.

Wu-Tang Clan have had a legendary career, which kicked off with the drop of the classic Enter The Wu Tang 36 Chambers album, all the way back in 1993. Since then, each member has enjoyed varying degrees of success, and the Clan's brand has been a longstanding one; the Mathematics-designed logo has become a cultural icon at this point. And while the Wu-Tang rappers are all enjoying the inherent wisdom of OG status, it would appear that they're about to make another money move. The Clan is taking a foray into the paraphernalia game, announcing the arrival of their very first rolling papers, right in time for California to legalize recreational weed.
