Details Emerge for Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block's 'Wu-Block' Album
Earlier this year, we reported that venerable rap crews the Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block would be joining forces for a new project called Wu-Block. While the team didn't make their original October 9th release date, the album has been confirmed for release next month.
According to Hypetrak, at least, Wu-Block is slated for a November 27 release via eOne Music. That's the patriotic album art above.
There's also a leaked tracklisting, which confirms that the album will feature Wu-Tang representatives Ghostface Killah (who's on every track but one), GZA, Raekwon, Method Man, Masta Killa and Cappadonna.
On the D-Block side of the spectrum, the project focuses heavily on Sheek Louch, with further appearances from Styles P and Jadakiss. It's also worth noting that Erykah Badu stops by on the track "Drivin Round."
Speaking with AllHipHop earlier this year, Ghostface said, "We got killing on lock. It's like assassination day — nothing but darts being thrown. It's like Batman and Robin shit. It's real street shit for the fans. They've been thirstin' for this."

Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block Reveal ‘Wu-Block’ Album Cover Art, Confirm Release Date
Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block have teamed up to reveal the official cover art and release date for their upcoming collaboration album dubbed ‘Wu-Block.’
It was announced earlier this year that Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block would be collaborating on a new project entitled ‘Wu-Block,‘ but details have remained rather sparse over the past few months.
Well today the two hip hop collectives have revealed the official cover art for the project, along with announcing an official November 13th release date according to HipHopDX.
Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah recently gave us a bit of insight on the project, and says “this what’s been missing.”
“It’s homemade, yo. It’s one of those albums where it’s like, ‘This what’s been missing,’” he said. “When we heard it for the first time all the way down, I was happy – and I don’t really get to say that too much about making projects and stuff like that, but I was really, really happy. There’s nothing out there that’s like it.”
Earlier this week, Ghostface Killa teamed up with Sheek Louch and Jadakiss for the latest single from the project called Stick Up Kids.

Ghostface Killah & Sheek Louch Announce 'Wu-Block' Release Date
Ghostface Killah and Sheek Louch have been slow cooking this Wu-Block album for quite sometime. The wait for it, is almost over. The project is set to be released October 9th through eOne Music.
"This is a unique street album combination like carnation milk with oatmeal. And a dash of cinnamon," explains Ghostface in a press release. He adds, "We got killing on lock. It’s like assisination day – nothing but darts being thrown. It’s like Batman and Robin shit. It’s real street sh*t for the fans. They’ve been thirstin’ for this.”
Sheek also added his thoughts, “Other people trying to sell albums together. Those are radio albums. This shit is for the street. Wu-Block mixes the rap style, lyrics, beats, imagery and ideology of the 9 member Wu-Tang clan with the flow, underground star power, hard hitting bars, street story telling and bass rattling sounds of D-Block."
So with this announcement and album on the horizon, it's only right I quote the movie Gladiator. "Are you not entertained?" Wu-Block October 9th....

Wu-Block Members Ghostface & Sheek Louch Hitting The Road For 22-Date U.S. Tour
Following the announcement that Wu-Block, which consists of members of both Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block respectively, would be performing the album in its entirety at this year’s New Jersey stop of the “Rock the Bells” tour during Labor Day weekend, dates and cities have been announced for a full trek across the United States.
The 22-date tour will kick off on August 1 at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, New York. The Wu-Block Tour will then hit cities like Philadelphia, New York, Atlanta, Austin and Las Vegas over the course of a month and a half, before coming to a close on September 14 at Upstate Concert Hall in Albany.
Although members of Wu-Block like Raekwon, Jadakiss, and Styles P. are expected to tour as well, only Ghostface and Sheek Louch have been announced as participating members, with more announcements expected in the near future.
The album, set to be released later this summer via eOne Music, is expected to feature a number of members from both camps, with primary contributions coming from Ghostface, Sheek Louch, Raekwon, and Styles P.
