On April 16, 2013 Wu-Tang Clan’s DJ Mathematics will release The Answer—an album that serves as the follow up to his 2005 album, The Problem. In anticipation of the full length project, Mathematics has offered “Prelude To The Answer” as a free mixtape download.

Raekwon: "A Pinebox Story" (Video)

In his new video, Raekwon hangs in a basement smoking blunts and letting his champagne chill in an orange cooler. Sounds normal enough until you realize that the song's called "A Pinebox Story" and the Chef and his boys are dealing with a dead body whose situation is told through the Wu-Tang member's song.

The track is produced by  9th Wonder, who cuts the vocal sample in such a way that sounds like a person choking up. Definitely a standout from Rae's latest mixtape, Unexpected Victory, which you can pick up if you haven't yet. Watch the "Pinebox" video above.

Raekwon X Andrew Kelly - Dope On Table EP Free Download

Beatsmith and A&R Andrew Kelley has come together with The DJBooth to bring listeners Dope on the Table, an exclusive collection of remixed cuts by Raekwon the Chef.

Originally conceived as a mixtape project in conjunction with the Wu-Tang spitter’s management, but never completed (read the full story at Kelley’s Tumblr), the set has been resurrected in the form of a Booth-exclusive, seven-track EP. Included on the tracklist is Kelley’s reader-approved reinterpretation of Chamber Music inclusion “Ill Figures.”

Kelley provides all production throughout the project, which features guest appearances from Big L, M.O.P., Kool G Rap, Notorious B.I.G., Ghostface Killah, Sean Price, Pusha T, Littles, Fabolous and Big Boi.

Wu-Tang Clan – Mystagogue Vol. 2 (Rare Slap Magazine Mix)

This is one of those really rare finds that Wu fans can thank the internet for. Right here’s a Side A / Side B rip of the Mystagogue Vol. 2 cassette that came inside sealed issues of Slap skateboard magazine back in 1996. The cassette / Slap promo was only available at skate shops and was meant to act as a hype tool for the Wu skate team. The file hit about every blog a few years back but a big number of the links have gone dead. Here it is for everybody a 3rd time around. It’s those raw RZA beats you know & love mixed with some jazzy instrumentals and lots of great scratching. The intro is classic too.
