First Listen: Ghostface Killah, '36 Seasons'

The promotion for Ghostface Killah's 36 Seasons album has been fast and furious, as the legendary MC debuted the first single and announced the project less than a month before the release date. Today, Ghostface teams with NPR for an official stream of the project, which is currently available for pre-order on iTunes, before it drops next week.

This marks Ghostface's 11th solo studio album of his career, and caps off a big week that also includes the release of Wu-Tang Clan's long-awaited new album, A Better Tomorrow, which hits stores tomorrow. As for feature appearances on the 15-track project, Ghostface calls on Kool G Rap, Pharoahe Monch, and five appearances from AZ. Check out the full tracklist and stream the album below.

Listen to Ghostface Killah's "The Battlefield" f/ Kool G Rap, AZ, and Tre Williams

Wu-Tang Clan fans rejoice, not only are you getting a new album from the Wu in less than a month, but also a new solo project from Ghostface Killah titled 36 Seasons. After dropping the first single from the album last week, Ghostface is back at it today, releasing his new track, "The Battlefield," featuring AZ, Kool G Rap and Tre Williams. Just by looking at that lineup you know bars will be present, and in fact, there are plenty, as GFK and company continually go back and forth over the classic hip-hop production that will surely give you a feeling of nostalgia to that old school hip-hop feel.

The album, which will feature 14 songs in total and guest appearances from Kool G Rap, Pharoah Monch, and more, is currently available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon, as well as a special deluxe set that includes some limited edition GFK gear.
