Method Man Tells Kanye West To "Come Home" After His Recent Behavior

Method Man chimes in on Kanye's recent controversies.

Kanye West has stirred up a whole lot of controversy lately. While the majority of people have taken it at face value, there's also been conspiracy theories pertaining to his behavior. Many suggest this is all part of the role out for his forthcoming album while other people have said that this is part of a performance art piece. Method Man recently chimed in on the conversation and suggested the former. The Wu-Tang rapper explained that people shouldn't be feeding into it the way they have been.

Method Man joined the Cruz Show on Power 106 to speak on Drop The Mic season 2 and more. The conversation led to Cruz asking Meth on his take on Kanye's recent comments and actions. He explained that he sees the fact that 'Ye has some music on the way so there's a good chance his recent controversial takes have something to do with that.

"I think 'Ye got some music coming out so I'm seeing the angle there." He said, "Nobody just comes out and starts blurting this stuff out randomly. 'Cause we haven't heard from Kanye in months and all of a sudden there's all this stuff. You know, I could respect his opinion from afar. Very afar but c'mon man. He got some music coming out. Don't take this stuff seriously. Social media is the devil."

Meth comes across much more concerned for Kanye than he is offended by anything he's said in recent times.

"I just don't want Kanye to alienate himself from people that really love him." He said. "That's why people are reaching out. I mean regardless of how they're doing it with memes and stuff like that it's because we care... I don't think he's crazy. Shout out to Kanye. We love you, brotha. Come home."

RZA Says Not Doing Drake's "Wu-Tang Forever" Remix Was Missed Opportunity

If you remember way back in 2013 when Drake released the song “Wu Tang Forever,” Clan member U-God said a remix was in the works from the legendary rap group, but nearly four years after the fact we’ve yet to hear that remix, and RZA says the group missed out.

During an interview with Power 106 Thursday morning out in L.A., the Wu-Tang leader was asked if the collaboration would ever take place, and he replied “That should of happened,” before praising Drizzy and revealing that the group was on tour at the time.

RZA said Drake threw the group an alley oop with the offer for a remix but sadly, the group missed it. “First of all I want to shout Drake out. I think he threw an alley oop to us right there and I think we missed it.” The rapper also said he regrets not making the remix. While he doesn’t regret it for popularity reasons, he does wish they could have worked together because as a veteran, it’s his duty to work with the youth and “rekindle that fire” for hip-hop.

In addition to that, RZA also discussed the group’s Once Upon a Time In Shaolinalbum that was purchased for $2 million by mega pharma-douche Martin Shkreli, and a recent meeting he had with Kanye West. RZA said he spoke with ‘Ye less than 10 days ago and the Chicago rapper was in a “great place.” RZA didn’t hear any new music from him but did say the Chicago rapper was “about to get busy.”

Watch all this and more in the full 27-minute interview (below) or fast forward to the 23:42 minute mark to just hear the Drake x Wu remix talk.

O.D.B. Was One Of The First To Co-Sign Kanye As An MC. The Receipt Proves It (Audio)

In 2002, during an era where mainstream Hip-Hop appeared heavily saturated with gangsterism and hustler narratives, a preppy, middle-class, pink Polo shirt-rockin’ producer from the Chicago suburbs shocked the Rap game by signing to Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records at its pinnacle. While renowned for his distinctive, soulful production, Kanye West had a notoriously hard time being taken seriously as a rapper. Even his future “Big Brother” and longtime collaborator Jay was hesitant to give the artist his big break, worried that ‘Ye wouldn’t fit into the Roc’s roster. “We all grew up street guys who had to do whatever we had to do to get by,” Jay told Time in 2005. “Then there’s Kanye [West], who to my knowledge has never hustled a day in his life. I didn’t see how it could work.”

Inspectah Deck looked back at his days with the Wu-Tang, and shared some stories about being around ODB with VladTV.

The New York emcee explained that while he and Ol' Dirty B@stard were close, the "Brooklyn Zoo" emcee used to duck him. He added that ODB wanted someone to join him in his crazy adventures, but Inspectah Deck was the complete opposite and he used to try and set ODB straight. Deck also goes on to share some of the hilarious moments ODB had on stage invading people's sets - in the same fashion Kanye is known for interrupting speeches.

Kanye West Calls Wu-Tang Member "One Of The Greek Gods In This Rap Game"

Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon recently talked about hooking up with Kanye West on numerous occasions for music and how big of a compliment the G.O.O.D. Music head paid him. According to the "Chef," Yeezy labeled him a standout in the rap game. "He just was like, 'Yo, you like one of the Greek gods in this rap game. It's an honor to be amongst somebody that taught me everything I know,' " Rae recalled. "Kanye is so sincere when it comes to expressing himself, and he was just like, 'I learned everything from y'all.' [But] my thing is, 'No, you learned it from hip-hop.' ... We was just a part of the movement. When you meet somebody that's really hip-hop, that really love it, they have to sit down and let you know how they feel about things. It's like an introduction, because if you never really worked with that guy before, you want to sit down and get to know him as a person, and that's what we was doing, just vibin', kickin' it and playing a couple things."

(MTV) Around mid-December, Rae revealed his interest in contributing to Ye's rumored Cruel Winter compilation album. "Um, you know, Kanye, them is my guys," Rae said when asked if he will appear on Cruel Winter. "If he was to call me in to do some things, it's gonna happen. You know what I mean? I'm a big fan of the movement. They've been doing a lot of great things, so, when they call a fella like me in, they know what I get ready to do. So Cruel Winter, Cruel Spring, [laughs], all that, put me down so I can throw my voice on it, you know what I mean?" (HHNM) He previously hit up SOHH and talked about Yeezy's work ethic having recorded "Gorgeous" alongside him. "The first thing I can tell you about Kanye West is that he's a hard worker. When you look at him, you can tell that he still has that whole hip-hop thing in his bones. When I was around him, I could definitely feel the energy that this guy is really taking things serious and he's not trying to give [you] no watered down album. Listening to what was being made, you could hear and know that you were feeling it. So for the most part, I can say the music is great as far as him being creative and brilliant and he makes sure to keep those things around him. Everybody that says he's bringing this album back to the 1990's, [but] I think it's more about him being creative." (SOHH Guest Star) A couple years ago, the Staten Island native talked about his admiration for Mr. West. Raekwon, based in Atlanta, has also been in talks with Kanye West about collaborating on a project. "You're gonna see something soon with me and that guy. That guy's on fire right now and he respects real hip-hop, he respects me," he said. "And he's like, 'Yo Chef, I wanna be down and I'm like, you down, you down, [laughs] so let's just make it happen!'"
